Chinese Cars in Argentina: Sales Boom, Models & Prices (2026)

Sales of Chinese automobiles in Argentina quadrupled during 2025, reaching a 2.2% market share, up from just 0.8% in 2015. This surge in popularity reflects a growing acceptance of Chinese brands within the Argentinian automotive market.

The increase in sales has coincided with the arrival of 23 new companies in the country over the last decade, a trend expected to continue. This influx of new players is reshaping the competitive landscape for automakers in Argentina.

According to a report from the Sistema de Información Online del Mercado Automotor de Argentina (SIOMAA), registrations of Chinese vehicles represent a volume nearly four times higher than recorded in 2024. This growth isn’t merely statistical, but the result of a “maturation process” for brands entering the market starting in 2018.

With a wide range of options now available, a review of the most popular brands, their models, and pricing as of March 2026 is presented below.

Leading Chinese auto brands in Argentina include BYD, Baic, Haval, and Chery.
