A Chinese social media personality, Wang Yefei, died after becoming ill during a live broadcast on March 9. The content creator, known online as “Wang Zha Abla,” suddenly felt unwell and requested assistance while streaming.
SUDDEN ILLNESS DURING LIVE STREAM
According to reports from local news outlets, Wang Yefei, who had approximately 130,000 followers, began experiencing discomfort during a live broadcast on the morning of March 9. She clutched her head and neck, and grimaced, telling those around her that she wasn’t feeling well. Her condition quickly deteriorated.
Yefei reportedly asked for someone to call 120, the emergency number for ambulances in China. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she could not be saved.
CAUSE OF DEATH: BRAINSTEM HEMORRHAGE
Local media organizations Jimu News and VNExpress International reported that Yefei died from a brainstem hemorrhage.
The mother of a four-year-old daughter, Wang Yefei reportedly spent 7 to 10 hours a day actively streaming, selling women’s clothing.
DEMANDING WORK SCHEDULE NOTED
Those close to Yefei said she had been unable to get enough rest due to a demanding work schedule in recent times. A close friend stated that she only slept 4 to 5 hours each night and handled all aspects of the live streaming business herself, including sales and shipping.
Yefei had also been frequently taking pain medication to manage severe headaches that began several weeks prior.

Wang Yefei’s sudden death has caused great sadness on social media. Followers and loved ones shared messages of condolence after learning of the livestreamer’s passing.
