A unique health center opened in Cholet, France, in October 2025, dedicated to addressing sleep apnea, a condition that often goes underestimated. The center, led by Dr. Éric Couhet, aims to provide comprehensive care by combining medical expertise with connected technologies and personalized support. The atmosphere is designed to be calming, with soft lighting, a lava lamp, and a guitar in the corner – a departure from the typical clinical setting.
“We sleep one-third of our lives,” Dr. Couhet notes, yet this crucial period is often overlooked in routine health monitoring. According to Dr. Couhet, the center was established to make sleep a dedicated area of exploration. Nearly half of all French adults experience some form of sleep disorder, and sleep apnea is among the most common – and insidious.
