Citroën has revised the power output of its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the new C5 Aircross to 222 horsepower, up from a previously stated 192 horsepower. The adjustment, announced on March 9, 2026, comes despite no technical changes to the engine or hardware, with the company attributing the difference to refined measurement methods. This update aligns the vehicle’s performance data with current market standards, Citroën stated.
The next-generation Citroën C5 Aircross is built on Stellantis’s STLA Medium platform, the same architecture used in the Peugeot 3008 and Opel Grandland. The vehicle offers a range of electrified powertrain options, including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric models. The platform’s versatility is becoming increasingly common as Stellantis expands its electric vehicle offerings.
The PHEV model now delivers an all-electric range of up to 85 km (approximately 53 miles). The fully electric C5 Aircross is available in two versions: a 207 horsepower model with a 73 kWh battery offering a range of 520 km (323 miles), and a 227 horsepower version with a 97 kWh battery providing a range of up to 680 km (423 miles). These ranges are based on WLTP combined cycle testing.
A 145 horsepower mild hybrid version combines a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine with a compact electric motor supported by a 0.9 kWh battery and a dual-clutch transmission.
As of March 9, 2026, two versions of the C5 Aircross are available in Turkey. The 1.2 Hybrid 145 model starts at 2,650,000 TL, even as the 207 horsepower electric version begins at 2,430,000 TL. başlıyor.
