The narrative-driven game Coffee Talk: Episode 1, originally released on PC and consoles, is coming to mobile devices on March 20th. The atmospheric title will be available on both iOS and Android, bringing its intimate and emotional experience to a wider audience.
In Coffee Talk, players take on the role of a barista in an alternate-reality Seattle where humans coexist with fantastical creatures like elves, orcs, succubi, and mermaids. The gameplay centers not just around crafting coffees, teas, and specialty drinks, but also on listening to customers’ problems and offering them a comforting space without judgment.
The game distinguishes itself with a branching narrative where player choices aren’t made through dialogue options, but through the preparation of the beverages they serve. Even slight alterations to the ingredients can shift the course of a conversation – and a character’s fate.
Chorus Worldwide, the game’s developer, confirmed that the mobile edition retains the original story, content, and atmosphere, carefully adapted for touchscreen controls.
The game also preserves its distinctive pixel art visual style, inspired by 1990s anime, alongside a jazz and lo-fi soundtrack designed to complement late-night conversations.

A relaxing café con leche
Since its initial release, Coffee Talk has garnered praise for its relaxing tone and emotional depth. Publications like Kotaku, Paste Magazine, and Rock Paper Shotgun have highlighted its ability to create a safe, intimate, and comforting space within the game.
Chorus Worldwide is a Japanese publisher based in Tokyo specializing in indie games with strong emotional resonance. In addition to Coffee Talk and its sequel, the studio is also responsible for When the Past Was Around and A Space for the Unbound. They plan to release a new installment in their flagship series, Coffee Talk Tokio, in May.
The company aims to connect creators and players through experiences that evoke emotion, surprise, and lasting memories.
