ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026 Taps Artist Kasing Lung as Creative Director
ComplexCon, a leading global trendsetting event, is set to return to Hong Kong for its third consecutive year, taking place March 21-22 at the AsiaWorld-Expo. This year’s event boasts a major announcement: artist Kasing Lung, the creator of THE MONSTERS and LABUBU, will serve as the creative director, according to ComplexCon. The appointment signals a significant moment for the festival and a homecoming for the globally recognized artist.
“I am delighted to announce that I will be the artistic director of ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026, and will be participating in this event with The Monsters,” Lung stated. “I look forward to sharing the exciting content we have carefully prepared for everyone!”
ComplexCon has a history of partnering with influential contemporary artists to shape the event’s creative direction. In 2025, Daniel Arsham brought his “Future Relic” design concept to life with an immersive “ComplexCon Hotel,” featuring limited-edition apparel and collaborations like Daniel Arsham x RIMOWA. The previous year, Verdy transformed the event into a large-scale trend market, showcasing exclusive sneakers, art collectibles, and sought-after merchandise. This focus on artistic vision extends to every detail, from visual installations to exclusive on-site experiences, ensuring each ComplexCon is a unique and immersive experience.
The 2026 iteration of ComplexCon Hong Kong will be curated by Lung, bringing his artistic vision to the forefront of the cultural experience. Early bird VIP tickets will be available for purchase at noon on November 20, as reported by ComplexCon. The event is supported by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
The return of ComplexCon to Hong Kong underscores the city’s growing importance as a hub for global trends and creative expression. The festival’s continued success highlights the demand for immersive cultural experiences that blend art, fashion, and entertainment.
