Construction Worker Dies Following Rooftop Fall in Bejuma, Carabobo
A construction accident claimed the life of a 43-year-old man on the afternoon of April 7, 2026, in the municipality of Bejuma, Carabobo. The victim, identified as José Daniel Aponte Niño, died instantly after falling from a rooftop while performing masonry perform.
The incident occurred at the Don Juan building, located in the Santa MarÃa sector at the intersection of Calle Vargas and Avenida Los Fundadores. According to early reports, Aponte, a resident of the El Rincón sector, was utilizing an electric winch to transport construction materials to the top of the structure.
Authorities are currently investigating the specific cause of the accident, though preliminary findings suggest a mechanical failure in the lifting system. This malfunction reportedly caused Aponte to lose his balance and fall approximately eight meters, impacting the pavement frontally.
