CSKA Sofia and midfielder David Seger have mutually agreed to part ways, the club announced Friday, February 20, 2026. The move brings an end to Seger’s time with the Bulgarian side.
Seger joined CSKA in the summer of 2025, making 15 appearances across all competitions for the team.
“CSKA wishes David Seger success in his future challenges,” read a statement from the club.
Gol.bg reports that CSKA has also previously parted ways with Gustavo Busato, Brian Cordoba, Martin Stoychev, Siny Sanayang, and Kevin Dodai. Ulaos Skarshem is also expected to depart.
The club has been active in bringing in new talent, adding Dimitar Evtimov, Andrey Yordanov, Max Ebong, Isaac Sole, Piedraita, and Leo Pereira to their roster.
“The Reds” are also reportedly close to securing central defender Facundo Rodriguez. The club is prepared to pay a substantial sum for the Argentinian player, who currently plays for Estudiantes La Plata.
