Czech Tennis Players in Action: Lehečka in Miami, Bartoň & Kučmová in Finals

Jiří Lehečka will compete for a spot in the round of eight at the prestigious Masters event in Miami, where Linda Nosková will also enter the doubles competition alongside Tereza Valentová, and Marie Bouzková will team up with Tereza Valentová. Hynek Bartoň is on the verge of a singles triumph at an ITF tournament in Italy and will immediately head to a Challenger event in Naples after the final, where he will play in the first round of qualifying. Aneta Kučmová will also be vying for a doubles title in another Italian city.

Lehečka in Action at the Miami Masters

Jiří Lehečka is the lone Czech player set to compete in the singles draw at the prestigious Miami Masters 1000 tournament. Having already reached the third round, he’s matched his best result at this event and will now face Ethan Quinn as he aims to improve upon that mark.

The Czech player has had a challenging start to the season, while his opponent arrives in Miami on a seven-match winning streak, fresh off a Challenger title.

Bartoň and Kučmová Compete for Titles

Hynek Bartoň has been focused on Challenger events as he strives to break into the elite ranks and qualify for Grand Slam tournaments. This week, he’s competing at the ITF M15 tournament in Italy, where he will play for the title on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Czech talent is aiming for his second career title, having previously won an M25 event in Pardubice in 2022. He will face Francesco Forti, the fourth-seeded Italian, in the final. Following the final, Bartoň will quickly travel to Naples, approximately 200 kilometers away, to initiate qualifying for a Challenger event.

Aneta Kučmová is also in contention for a trophy, partnering with Greek player Sapfo Sakellaridi in the doubles draw at the W35 tournament in San Gregorio.
