Dacia aims to have more than 60% of its sales reach from electric and hybrid vehicles within four years, a significant increase from the 25% recorded last year, the company announced.
The announcement comes as Renault prepares to unveil its “futuREady” plan on Wednesday, which centers on electric and hybrid vehicles. The plan calls for the launch of 36 new models across all group brands by 2030.
Last year, Dacia sold nearly 200,000 hybrid and electric vehicles, representing a quarter of its total sales, a substantial rise from just over 10% in 2024. The company’s goal is for two-thirds of its sales to be hybrid and fully electric by 2030, building on a total of almost 700,000 vehicles sold in 2025.
Dacia intends for vehicles in the C-segment to account for one-third of its total sales within the next four years. The Bigster is currently the brand’s best-selling model in the C-segment and the Striker will soon join it, with the potential for another C-segment model to follow next year.
Renault’s Plan Highlights Dacia’s Strategy
Dacia plans to continue its expansion by focusing on the same core principles and brand philosophy, including:
⦁ Offering the most competitive cost, price, and value proposition for customers;
⦁ Accelerating the electrification process, aiming for hybrid and electric vehicles to represent two-thirds of its sales by 2030;
⦁ Continuing its offensive in the C-segment, which is projected to account for one-third of its sales by 2030;
⦁ Leveraging its recognized expertise in four-wheel drive, E-Tech hybrid technology, and its leading position in LPG offerings;
⦁ By 2030, Dacia “will be fully committed to electric mobility, moving from 1 model to a range of 4 electric models.”
Renault Accelerates Growth Strategy
Renault is accelerating its growth through three key areas:
⦁ Strengthening its brand potential in Europe with the launch of 12 new models;
⦁ Generalizing the electrification of its range by maintaining hybrid technology beyond 2030 in Europe and developing it in international markets, alongside expanding its 100% electric offering through a new platform;
⦁ Accelerating its international offensive with 14 new model launches.
By 2030, the company aims to achieve:
⦁ Annual sales of over 2 million vehicles, with 50% outside of Europe;
⦁ 100% electrified vehicle sales in Europe and 50% outside of Europe.
