It’s never too late to find the right person. This represents the message singer Dara Rolins seems to be sending, having become engaged to footballer Pavel Nedvěd shortly before turning 50. The couple managed to retain their relationship private for approximately six months – until they decided to make it public on social media.

According to Rolins, their fateful meeting wasn’t accidental. Nedvěd had shown interest in her for years, sending her flowers annually for her birthday, as she revealed to Czech publication Blesk. She only realized the connection later, recalling they first met in 2011 during a photoshoot for a sports brand. At the time, however, Nedvěd was still married.
The decisive step came through a mutual friend who introduced them. Rolins was in Italy, where Nedvěd is based, and their coffee meeting evolved into deep conversations that led to a mutual attraction.

Their relationship has appeared harmonious from the start, and the couple quickly became one of the most popular celebrity pairings. They have built a life together, and Nedvěd similarly has a good relationship with Rolins’ daughter, Lola. Both demonstrate respect for each other, both personally and professionally. Despite Nedvěd’s professional football career being over, he currently holds the position of new general manager of the Czech national football team.
Around the turn of 2024 and 2025, Nedvěd took a step that furthered their relationship. Shortly after midnight, he proposed to Rolins. “It’s something I’m experiencing for the first time in my life, and it was incredibly romantic, both the way it happened and the timing – almost after three years together, when you know you want to stay with that person and that you all love each other,” Rolins described her excited emotions.
