The summer signing has struggled to break into the CSKA lineup, consistently finding himself a peripheral option in midfield. Recent tactical shifts have seen center-back Adrian Lapenya preferred in the center of the pitch, with Theodor Ivanov stepping in to partner Delov in the heart of the defense.
Reports surfaced nearly a month ago indicating CSKA’s intention to part ways with the 26-year-old Seger, and subsequent weeks have only reinforced that decision. The Swede has remained an unused substitute in four of the team’s last six matches, receiving a single start against Lokomotiv Plovdiv due to a suspension for Bruno Jordao.
