Suspect Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle During Freeway Pursuit in Los Angeles

A suspect died today after being struck by a vehicle on the 110 Freeway in Los Angeles following a police pursuit that began near downtown.

The Los Angeles Police Department initiated the chase around 3:00 AM on October 21, 2025. According to initial reports, the suspect fled in a van, speeding through the Chinatown area before entering the northbound 110 Freeway toward Pasadena. The driver eventually stopped near the median close to Mount Washington and exited the vehicle.

Attempting to climb over the center divider, the suspect slipped and fell directly into the path of an oncoming car. The impact proved fatal, and the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
