Delhi Police have arrested a woman accused of managing a drug syndicate linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The suspect, identified as Khushnuma Ansari, also known as Neha, allegedly operated a beauty parlor as a front for the criminal operation, according to officials.
Police say Ansari, 2026, worked closely with Mahfuz, alias Bobby Kabootar, a known associate of the Bishnoi gang. She has been dubbed “Madam Zeher,” or “Madam Poison,” by investigators due to her alleged role in distributing drugs.
Authorities allege Ansari and Kabootar have been associated for seven years and were involved in supplying weapons, and narcotics. The pair were apprehended near the Mahipalpur flyover, where a significant quantity of drugs was recovered.
The arrest comes amid a growing trend of women playing central roles in gang activity in the Delhi-NCR region, police said. In 2025, a 17-year-vintage boy was stabbed to death in northeast Delhi, and a woman named Zikra was arrested for allegedly conspiring in the murder, according to the Times of India. Zikra previously worked as a bouncer for the wife of jailed gangster Hashim Baba.
Investigators believe Ansari’s beauty parlor served as a cover for the gang’s illegal activities. The case highlights the increasingly sophisticated methods used by criminal organizations to conceal their operations.
