Supermassive Games’ sci-fi survival horror adventure, Directive 8020, is set to launch with enhancements specifically designed for the PlayStation 5 Pro on May 12. The game leverages advanced features to deepen the tension and visual fidelity of the experience, according to a recent announcement.
Directive 8020, part of The Dark Pictures series, places players in a desperate struggle for survival aboard the colony ship Cassiopeia after a crash landing on Tau Ceti f. Hunted by an alien organism that mimics its prey, the crew must find a way home while facing difficult choices that could impact the fate of Earth. The game features Hollywood actor Lashana Lynch as the astronaut ‘Young.’
Key visual enhancements include PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), Sony’s AI-driven upscaling technology, which intelligently enhances image detail and clarity.
