Three young women dreaming of influencer stardom are the subjects of a latest documentary that reveals a stark contrast between their carefully curated online personas and their private realities. Sani, Tina, and Emese envision a life where cosmetic brands send them free products and their social media followings explode.
The women believe that gaining a substantial following will fundamentally change their lives. However, a director documenting their lives soon discovers a hidden vulnerability beneath the flawless makeup and aspirational posts.
According to the film, the trio are deeply insecure and live their lives entirely through the lens of a camera. They lack friendships and hobbies, and are unable to post any photos or videos that haven’t been heavily edited and filtered.
