Dodge has introduced a new exterior color, “Sub-Zero,” for the 2026 Charger, expanding personalization options for the reborn muscle car. The new shade represents a shift towards a more modern aesthetic for the vehicle, while still maintaining its bold presence.

The cool-toned blue-gray color is now available for order and is designed to highlight the Charger’s proportions and widebody stance. It’s a move that reflects the growing trend of customization in the automotive industry, allowing drivers to express their individual style.

Sub-Zero’s unique characteristic is its ability to shift in appearance depending on the lighting conditions. In direct sunlight, the paint reveals brighter blue tones, while in lower light, it transforms into a more mysterious blue-gray. This chameleon-like quality adds a layer of sophistication to the Charger’s design.

“The roll-out of customization options continues to the delight of the brotherhood. An ice-cold paint to go with their ICE-powered all-wheel-drive muscle car,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO.

The color was intentionally created to complement the Charger’s revolutionary R-Wing feature, making the aerodynamic lines more prominent, particularly when compared to darker shades. Dodge is also offering a range of exterior packages to enhance the “cool” aesthetic of the Sub-Zero paint.

These include glossy black accents on the roof and spoiler for a striking contrast, satin carbon wheels to complement the modern look, and LED lighting with white accents that integrate seamlessly with the Sub-Zero finish.

Importantly, the Sub-Zero color is available across the entire Charger family, including both the twin-turbo SIXPACK internal combustion engine models and the all-electric Charger Daytona variants. Every Charger model comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD).

The new color option demonstrates that muscle cars don’t always need to be loud and flashy, and that a cooler, more understated look can also convey power, and sophistication. The addition of Sub-Zero is expected to appeal to buyers looking for a unique and distinctive appearance. [wic/timBX]
