Dutch Police Arrest Injured Suspect After Fall From Balcony

A suspect attempting to evade police was injured and hospitalized following an incident at an apartment building on Westindischekade in Amsterdam on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The incident underscores the risks involved in police operations and suspect apprehension.

According to reports, the suspect fell approximately 33 feet from a balcony at the rear of the building around 7:30 p.m. Local time while attempting to escape as officers, some wearing masks, tried to gain entry to the apartment.
