Egypt’s Ministry of Labor has launched a new digital system allowing citizens to register their information and obtain a perform permit, often referred to as a “kebab el amal,” entirely online. The move is part of a national plan to digitize government services and streamline the process for those seeking employment both within Egypt and abroad.
The Ministry stated the new service aims to save job seekers time and effort while reducing congestion at traditional labor offices. Obtaining a work permit through the online system is completely free of charge, and the primary goal is to build a robust database connecting graduates’ skills with available job opportunities in the market.
A dedicated technical interface has been created within the system to register individuals with disabilities, ensuring they have access to employment opportunities that align with their needs and abilities.
* Steps to Obtain a Work Permit Online:
1- Visit the official website of the Ministry of Labor: www.manpower.gov.eg.
2- Select the icon labeled “Register Job Seekers and Obtain a Work Permit.”
3- Review the terms and required documents, then click “Register.”
4- Create a digital identity (for first-time users) using your national ID number and a password, or log in if you already have an account.
5- Complete the basic data fields (name, national ID number, educational qualification).
6- Specify the purpose of registration (seeking employment domestically or abroad), and enter passport information if applying for overseas work.
7- Build a professional resume including skills, experience, and training courses to enhance the profile of the applicant.
