Embraer Reports 47% Surge in Q1 2026 Aircraft Deliveries

Brazilian aerospace leader Embraer has kicked off the 2026 fiscal year with a significant increase in aircraft handovers, delivering 44 units in the first quarter. According to a securities filing released on April 2, 2026, this represents a 47% jump compared to the 30 aircraft delivered during the same period in 2025, signaling a robust start to the year across all primary business lines.

Embraer Reports 47% Surge in Q1 2026 Aircraft Deliveries

The growth was distributed across the company’s three core segments, as detailed in reports that Embraer delivered 44 aircraft in the first quarter of 2026. Executive aviation led the volume with 29 jets—a 26% increase over the previous year—consisting of 15 Phenom 300s, one Phenom 100, nine Praetor 500s, and four Praetor 600s.

Commercial aviation also saw a notable uptick, with 10 aircraft delivered, marking a 43% increase from the seven units handed over in Q1 2025. This batch included six E175s, one E190-E2, and three E195-E2s, supporting the company’s estimate of 80 to 85 commercial shipments for the full year.

The most dramatic recovery occurred within the defense and security division. After recording zero deliveries in the first quarter of 2025, the division delivered five aircraft in Q1 2026, including one KC-390 Millennium and four A-29 Super Tucanos. This recovery underscores the company’s ability to stabilize its military output amid a broader growth trend where deliveries increased by 47% during the first quarter.

Management attributed the strong quarterly performance to “production leveling” initiatives. These strategic measures are designed to smooth output across the calendar year and mitigate the historical trend of weak first-quarter volumes, which typically peak in the final months of the fiscal year. For context, Embraer delivered 91 aircraft in Q4 2025 alone, contributing to a full-year 2025 total of 244 units, up from 206 in 2024. The shift toward a more balanced delivery schedule highlights the company’s operational maturity as it scales production.

Looking ahead, the company remains optimistic, bolstered by a record order backlog valued at $31.6 billion. In addition to its delivery targets—which include 160 to 170 executive jets for 2026—Embraer’s financial outlook, disclosed on March 6, 2026, targets consolidated revenues between $8.2 billion and $8.5 billion. The manufacturer is also aiming for an adjusted EBIT margin of 8.7% to 9.3% and free cash flow of $200 million or more, excluding its subsidiary Eve Air Mobility.

This early momentum suggests that Embraer has successfully increased its delivery pace, placing the aerospace firm on a trajectory consistent with its annual guidance and strengthening its position as the world’s third-largest aircraft manufacturer.
