Though, Emma Frank Landgren’s breast cancer has returned. This time, it’s not a localized tumor that can be surgically removed, nor a clearly defined enemy. The cancer has metastasized, spreading through her body like a web.
The disease is present in her spine, thoracic vertebrae, and hip. It has also infiltrated the peritoneum – an area where breast cancer is rarely known to spread.
The diagnosis is incurable.
