The current season of “Farmen kjendis” (“Celebrity Farm”) is set to conclude on Sunday after six weeks of competition.
This year’s twist, which saw a secret informant infiltrate the farm to stir up social dynamics, faced strong opposition from some contestants, and when production revealed parts of the secret game, it was described as a major television blunder.
Internal tensions have also flared, with what some have described as a battle between the sexes, and Henriette Lien (56) has claimed that “locker room talk” and crude conversation hindered contestants from truly getting to recognize each other.
Earlier this week, things came to a head when Jonas Lihaug (36) and Heidi Røneid (43) engaged in a heated argument with their former allies, with both later apologizing for their behavior.
As the season culminates in a finale where one winner will be crowned, the contestants are reuniting to watch the episode together on a big screen. Reality TV finales often draw significant viewership and social media engagement.
Almost all of the contestants will be in attendance at Proud Mary in downtown Oslo, along with their partners, family, friends, and perhaps a few enemies.
However, wrestling coach Fritz Aanes (47) will not be at the party.
Earlier this week, Aanes was involved in the argument with Røneid and Lihaug, during Tuesday’s episode of “Farmen kjendis.” But he says his absence isn’t due to lingering bad feelings.
“I really wish I could be at the final party, but unfortunately I’m busy with work,” he said.
According to a press representative for the present, the remaining contestants will be at the finale party.
Aanes wishes them all a good time, despite the drama that has characterized this year’s group. “I hope no one lets any disagreements stop them from coming. We’ve all been part of the same adventure – a reality show where we’ve all given of ourselves to entertain Norway, and we’ve actually gotten really well paid for it too.”
