Ferencváros wasted no time establishing their dominance, opening the scoring with a swift attack. Dele Yusuf delivered a pinpoint pass into the box, finding Abu Fani, who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom right corner for a 0–1 lead. Just moments later, the pair connected again, as Abu Fani set up Yusuf for a clear run on goal, and the forward expertly finished from 10 meters, extending the advantage to 0–2 within the opening ten minutes.
Nyíregyháza responded with a goal of their own in the 22nd minute. Following a corner kick, Kvasina unleashed a powerful strike from nine meters, finding the bottom right corner to make it 1–2. However, Ferencváros nearly restored their two-goal cushion in the 39th minute, but Yusuf’s attempt from a promising position sailed over the bar.
The second half saw both sides create opportunities. Kanikovszki tested the Nyíregyháza goalkeeper with a shot from 11 meters, but Kovács Dávid produced a brilliant save. Joseph continued to threaten, forcing another save from Kovács, but the score remained unchanged. Dibusz was also called into action at the other complete, denying a shot from Kovács Milán.
With the clock winding down, Ferencváros finally sealed the victory in the 88th minute. A well-placed free kick from Zachariassen caused chaos in the box, ultimately falling to Gómez, who tapped it home from close range to make it 1–3. This goal secured three points for Ferencváros and moved them ahead of ETO FC Győr, who had suffered a defeat earlier in the weekend.
