The automotive services company Feu Vert has recognized the benefits of closely tracking its customers.
“We had stars in our eyes with Sage’s AI for SMEs”
Odile Chassignol and Fatima Attmane, of Feu Vert, recently experienced Sage Copilot1. From Écully, Feu Vert manages nearly 500 automotive centers in Europe, including 170 branches.
Odile Chassignol is the Accounting Manager. “It’s true that we are eager to see Sage’s AI agent function within our ERP. We already have plenty of ideas for its use, particularly alerting on B2B customers, meaning closer monitoring.”
Fatima Attmane represents the Information Systems Department. “It was very interesting to see concrete examples. And to really see, for an accountant, how artificial intelligence can improve daily routines. Being a source of time savings, but also of reliability.”
What does Feu Vert tell us? That AI for SMEs works if:
- It’s applied to concrete management cases;
- It’s directly integrated into the company’s software.
Explanation with Mickaël Mina…
AI dedicated to management and directly integrated into the software changes everything
“90% of financial managers report using artificial intelligence. Yet, only 26% achieve real time savings2.”
Behind this paradox lies a reality that explains the reluctance of business leaders and their financial managers: “generic public AI is not designed for business management.”
General AI is programmed and trained to respond to all requests. But for a
business manager, the need for precision takes precedence.
Two limitations of general generative AI:
- Lack of specialization: “general AI does not understand the business processes of the company: accounting, treasury, collections…”;
- Limited access to company data: “AI is external to your management solution. You can only transmit a portion of the company’s data to it to launch calculations.”
Sage Copilot fundamentally changes the game.
it is an AI:
- Dedicated exclusively to the challenges of business professions: purchasing, sales, finance, inventory, HR;
- Trained on 40 years of management data;
- Integrated directly into Sage software.
“With Sage, AI for SMEs corresponds to an approach designed from the outset to enhance business professions.”
But is the Feu Vert example applicable to any business structure? Odile Chassignol and Fatima Attmane were convinced by a Sage Copilot demonstration in the Sage X3 ERP.
Very well. But what about other Sage solutions?
AI for management only makes sense if it is available for all company sizes
To answer this question, let’s take two examples of solutions that target smaller businesses:
- Sage Active, an online solution aimed at tiny businesses;
- Sage Intacct, particularly appreciated by multi-site activities.
What is Sage Copilot integrated with these solutions worth? The answer with concrete uses, validated by users.
“A restaurant business generally works with around forty active suppliers. This generates about 100 to 250 invoices per month per site. Thanks to AI, Sage Intacct automatically matches purchase orders and invoices.”
“Cash flow is vital for a small organization. Sage Copilot assists the manager in mass chasing of overdue payments, with a personalized tone for each late payer. And provides an instant analysis of its performance.”
Conclusion: AI for SMEs, a concrete reality for all types of businesses.
And the electronic invoice, one of the positive outcomes of which is better data quality, provides the opportunity to really gain involved.
