Fito Páez kicked off his Rosario tour on Tuesday at the Teatro El Círculo with a special guest: Ángel Di María. The soccer star, accompanied by his wife Jorgelina Cardoso, attended the Argentine musician’s symphonic concert, which launched “Casa Páez.”
The initiative combines different musical formats and stages steeped in meaning for the artist’s history. This performance was the first of four scheduled this week for Páez in the city. During these shows, he will take audiences on a complete journey through his discography, from his iconic album “Del 63” to his most recent work, “Novela.”
Following the concert, the local composer took the time to celebrate the forward, recognizing him as “campeón del mundo” – world champion. Immediately, the audience’s attention turned to one of the theater’s side boxes, where Di María rose to greet the crowd.
“Fideo, Fideo,” the audience chanted, showering the captain of Rosario Central with applause and closing a night filled with emotion. The outpouring of support for the World Cup winner underscored the deep connection between sports and culture in Rosario.
After the show, Di María shared a post alongside Fito Páez, thanking him for the gesture: “Muchas gracias por recibirnos. Hermosa noche, Fito querido. Rosario siempre estuvo cerca” – “Thank you so much for receiving us. Beautiful night, dear Fito. Rosario has always been close.”

How Fito Páez’s Rosario Schedule Continues
►March 11: “Piano Solo” at the Teatro Astengo
The second date will be at the Teatro Fundación Astengo in the “Piano Solo” format. The repertoire will include some of his most emblematic songs, as well as works by authors who marked his musical formation and are part of the Argentine popular songbook.
►March 13: “Novela” at the Teatro El Círculo
The third concert, coinciding with his birthday, will be at the Teatro El Círculo and will be special: the artist will present “Novela” in its entirety for one night only.
The work, as conceived in the album, explores memories and emotions from his childhood in Villa Constitución through a magical story that tells the tale of a group of provincial circus artists and witches from a magical university lost in some galaxy of the universe. The show will feature a stage design specifically created for this presentation.
►March 15: Monumento Nacional a la Bandera
The finale will be on March 15th, starting at 7 p.m., with an open and free concert at the Monumento Nacional a la Bandera. The concert will mark the beginning of his new “Sale el Sol” tour. No guest artists have been confirmed yet.
