Flemish Salaries Rise: New Wage Barometer Shows Median Income Growth

Median wages in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking northern region of Belgium, have risen across all provinces, according to new figures released today, March 13, 2026, by HR services provider SD Worx.

The data, reported by GVA, indicates that half of the Flemish population now earns more than €3,585 gross per month. Specifically, the median gross monthly income in Flanders is €3,595.

Brussels stands out with significantly higher wages compared to other regions, the report shows. This wage growth reflects broader economic trends and the competitive labor market within Belgium.

The loonbarometer findings were also shared on Facebook by Gazet van Antwerpen.

The increase in median wages suggests a positive, albeit moderate, shift in the financial well-being of workers in Flanders, potentially influencing consumer spending and economic activity in the region.
