Formula E & Trackmania: New ‘Weekly Shorts’ Series Launches for Season 12

The world of electric racing is hitting the virtual track once again, as Formula E and Ubisoft’s Trackmania have announced a third consecutive year of collaboration. This season brings a fresh, fast-paced competitive format called ‘Weekly Shorts,’ designed to test the skills of gamers and celebrate the championship’s teams and partners.

Since the partnership began, Formula E has brought six iconic tracks – Sao Paolo, Miami, Diriyah, Berlin, Tokyo and London – to the popular racing platform, along with team skins spanning two seasons. The new ‘Weekly Shorts’ format marks a significant shift from traditional e-prix events.

New Format: Weekly Shorts

Instead of lengthy races, this season will feature 15 new tracks released across three dedicated race weeks. The format is built to push players to their limits, demanding mastery of diverse driving disciplines. Each week will present five tracks, each focused on a specific style of play: Lol, Puzzle, Wide, Fast, and Gradual. This rotating system ensures players can’t rely on a single skillset, demanding adaptability from chaotic precision to technical navigation and raw speed.

Formula E has scheduled three weeks of Shorts, offering multiple opportunities for players to climb the leaderboards:

  • Week 1 – CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix race week: Started March 15
  • Week 2 – Hankook Berlin E-Prix race week: Starting April 25
  • Week 3 – Monaco E-Prix race week: Starting May 9

Competition will be fierce, with prizes awarded for the fastest combined lap times each week. The top three players will receive:

  • 1st Place: 2 Grandstand seats for a Formula E race in the 26/27 season.
  • 2nd Place: A replica Spark Minimax GEN3 Car + a Formula E Goodie Bag.
  • 3rd-5th Place: A Formula E Goodie Bag.

Team Liveries and Themed Circuits

The collaboration continues to integrate the real-world championship experience. Each of the 15 tracks in Weekly Shorts is themed around a specific Formula E Championship Team or Partner. The first week features tracks inspired by CUPRA KIRO, Jaguar TCS Racing, Mahindra Racing, PIF and Hankook. Weeks 2 and 3 will showcase tracks designed around Andretti, Citroën Racing, DS PENSKE, Envision Racing, Lola Yamaha, Nissan, and Porsche, as well as partners including ABB, Saudia, and Google Cloud.

Players can also customize their experience with all 10 official team liveries from the 2025/26 season now available in-game. This allows racers to represent their favorite teams as they tackle the new circuits.

The move to Weekly Shorts reflects a growing trend in the Trackmania community towards accessible, high-intensity racing. Unlike standard campaigns, records for these maps are hidden during the initial hunt, adding a layer of mystery and competition. By blending creativity, brand identity, and gameplay, Formula E and Ubisoft are offering a platform for both casual and hardcore players.

Players can find the new tracks and equip the latest GEN3 Evo-inspired liveries within the Formula E Club in Trackmania.
