Playground Games has released a new gameplay video for Forza Horizon 6, offering an extended look at the game’s expansive world. The roughly nine-minute video focuses on the diverse landscapes players will be able to freely explore, showcasing the game’s setting in Japan.

Exploring Minamino, Ito and the Satta Pass

The video features a driver behind the wheel of a Saleen S7, cruising through the environment without the pressure of a race or event. Rather than focusing on competition, the clip presents a relaxed journey through several key locations. Minamino and Ito, two regions players will be able to explore independently, are highlighted during the drive.

The route takes the driver through the Osaka tunnels and culminates at the Satta Pass, a viewpoint offering a vista of Mount Fuji. The detailed environments are a key feature of the Forza Horizon series, and this installment appears to continue that tradition.

Notably, the lush vegetation throughout the showcased areas is particularly striking. Even areas not directly driven through are visible in the distance, including alpine-like landscapes at higher elevations.

A Surprisingly Calm World

The video depicts roads that appear surprisingly empty. Even in urban areas, there is minimal traffic. It’s possible Playground Games intentionally reduced the number of vehicles in the footage to emphasize the speed of the car. As this is pre-release gameplay, the final game will likely feature a more populated and dynamic world. The level of detail suggests a significant investment in creating a realistic and immersive open-world experience.

Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for release on Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 19, 2026, with a PlayStation 5 version expected later in the year.
