That’s according to Sofie Wiklund, who is releasing a book detailing her political shift from a prominent, left-leaning columnist deeply embedded in the Social Democratic establishment to a campaign leader for the Moderate Party. The move underscores a growing debate within Swedish politics about the role of social welfare and individual responsibility.
“The Social Democrats became fixated on providing care,” Wiklund said.
