Diesel prices are set to rise, with B10 diesel now costing a maximum of €2.01 per liter at the pump.
These are the highest prices recorded since October 2023.
Heating oil will also become more expensive starting Thursday. The maximum price for a minimum order of 2,000 liters will increase by 1.91 cents to €1.0927 per liter. This also represents the highest price since October 2023.
Diesel prices are climbing, reaching a peak not seen in over a year. As of Thursday, the maximum price for B10 diesel will be €2.01 per liter at the pump.
The increase, mirroring a similar rise in B7 diesel to €2.019 per liter, reflects ongoing geopolitical tensions and supply disruptions. These prices represent the highest levels since October 2023, signaling a renewed pressure on consumers, and businesses.
The upward trend extends to heating oil as well. Effective Thursday, the maximum price for a 2,000-liter order of heating oil will increase by 1.91 cents, reaching €1.0927 per liter – also the highest price point observed since October 2023.
The price hikes are largely attributed to the situation in the Middle East, particularly disruptions caused by tensions and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping lane for oil. Reduced oil production by several Gulf nations is also contributing to the price pressures. The increase in diesel prices is also being felt in neighboring countries.
