Samsung is planning to release the Galaxy Z Flip 8 in the summer of 2026, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and potentially a third foldable model, according to recent reports. The company is aiming for a July or August launch, continuing a trend established with previous generations of its foldable devices.

Although significant design changes aren’t anticipated, Samsung is reportedly focusing on reducing the weight and thickness of the Z Flip 8. The device is expected to be powered by a Samsung-made Exynos 2600 processor. The camera system is also likely to remain similar to that of the Z Flip 7.

Rumors suggest the battery size will be consistent with its predecessor. Perhaps surprisingly, Samsung may maintain the current starting price of $1,099.99 for the Z Flip 8, though a price increase remains a possibility. This comes as foldable phone technology continues to mature and gain traction in the smartphone market.

In addition to the Z Flip 8, Samsung is also reportedly developing a wider foldable phone, potentially named the Galaxy Z Wide Fold, which could challenge Apple’s offerings in the foldable category. The company recently addressed screen creasing issues with its Z Roll 5G, showcasing ongoing innovation in display technology.

The upcoming launch event is also expected to include the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9, further expanding Samsung’s ecosystem of connected devices.
