“I want to thank all the Panathinaikos fans for their endless support. You are the best in the world,” he added.

The statement comes ahead of a crucial EuroLeague matchup for the Athens club against Kaunas Žalgiris on Thursday, pitting two neighboring teams in the EuroLeague standings against each other. This game is particularly important as team performance can significantly impact morale and future strategies.

On Sunday, Panathinaikos unexpectedly lost in the Greek league against Iraklis of Thessaloniki, marking the Athens superclub’s third consecutive defeat across all competitions.
