Business The heirs of Gleditsch and the Wang brothers are increasing their stake in a Sandefjord-based company.
Marius Omslandseter, CEO of Team Security AS, headquartered in Sandefjord, is preparing the company for a significant acquisition strategy, bolstered by new industry expertise and fresh capital. This move comes as Team Security has grown to 68 employees since its founding in 2004.
According to reports, the investment comes from Varro Invest 4 AS, which includes members of the Gleditsch family – descendants of Jotun founder Odd Gleditsch – and the investment group surrounding Heine and Pål Wang. The Wang brothers previously built Vakt Service, which later became Nokas and today operates as Avarn Security, a Nordic security firm with approximately 16,000 employees.
Team Security, established in 2004, provides services including security guarding, alarm systems, access control and video surveillance. The company as well holds ownership interests in several other security-related businesses. In the last fiscal year, the company reported revenues of approximately 50 million Norwegian kroner (roughly $4.7 million USD).
Local investors, including Finn Erik Røed, Egil Andreas Johannessen, and Frank Duvholt, are also participating in the investment. Omslandseter noted the importance of having local investors involved in this new chapter for the company, which initially started with offices in Larvik and Sandefjord over 20 years ago. This investment signals a period of expansion for Team Security as it looks to capitalize on growing demand within the security sector.
