Los Angeles (USA) – Things got steamy and a little chaotic on the set of “Germany’s Next Topmodel” Wednesday evening. Filming took place at a ranch in L.A., where contestants participated in a photoshoot on a boat that involved a lot of close contact – kissing was encouraged! While one couple seemed to be hitting it off, another contestant’s boat outing ended with a dramatic rescue by a lifeguard.
Sparks Fly Between These GNTM Models
The GNTM contestants first arrived in Los Angeles and checked out their fresh accommodations: a ranch complete with a pool. When the male models joined the group, Nana, 24, graciously noted, “They are nicer than I expected.” The models had a chance to get even closer during an “Intimate Teaching” session led by actress Nina Rausch, 43.

During a couples photoshoot, contestants were asked to cuddle and kiss, so they started practicing. Antonia, 19, and Louis, 23, immediately jumped into a passionate make-out session. Could a romance be brewing? Antonia said, “Let’s just say… I’m not on GNTM for a romance. But if it happens, it happens. Who knows.” Louis grinned, “Antonia is definitely my type.”

Felix, 27, and Lara, 19, didn’t share the same spark. Heidi found their interaction “dry” and “awkward.” Aurélie, 21, and Juna, 23, were also considered at risk after their photoshoot. The situation became truly dramatic with Lukas, 21, and Eileen, 19. The pair were unsteady on the boat – and soon both fell into the water.
Eileen was pulled from the water after panicking.
Eileen suddenly called out, “I can’t breathe anymore. I can’t do this!” Heidi was concerned: “She looks a little panicked. I feel she wants to quit.” A lifeguard jumped into the water and helped Eileen to shore. She later complained of swallowing too much water, but Heidi’s assessment was still harsh: “That wasn’t harmonious!”
The next day, star photographer Vijat Mohindra, 41, photographed the models. Anna, 22, and Yanneck, 25, continued kissing happily after their shoot, even after the camera stopped rolling.Heidi Klum (52) grinned, “They didn’t even notice we weren’t shooting anymore! They were completely oblivious.” Anna gushed, “It was really romantic.”

Antonia and Louis also seemed to be rekindling their connection: they shared a passionate kiss during the shoot, with Antonia playfully biting her partner’s lip. And then both revealed they were single! Antonia commented, “How convenient!”
GNTM host Heidi Klum (52) closely watched her contestants.
Two contestants will have to depart GNTM – and that will be revealed in the next episode on Thursday.
