Quality Neighbours brought their signature positive energy to the Flex in Vienna on Sunday as part of their European tour.
Currently one of the most exciting up-and-coming acts in the indie-pop scene, Good Neighbours – comprised of Scott Verrill and Oli Fox – have quickly gained an international following with their catchy melodies, honest lyrics, and strong choruses. The duo’s viral debut single, “Home,” which has garnered millions of streams worldwide, has become a staple on sense-good playlists, solidifying their place in the contemporary music landscape. Following a period of hard work, they released their first album, “Blue Sky Mentality,” last year and embarked on their largest European tour to date in support of it. On March 8, 2026, they made a stop at the Flex in Vienna for their Austrian headline show, where a crowd of eager fans awaited the chance to experience the songs live.
Fiio
The evening began with a performance by Vienna-based artist Fiio, who was slated to open for Good Neighbours. Unfortunately, due to train delays on the Linz to Vienna route, I was unable to catch his set. By the time I arrived at the Flex, Fiio’s performance was already over, and the audience was buzzing with anticipation for Good Neighbours. The positive atmosphere was palpable, with many concertgoers chatting and moving to the music playing in the background, suggesting Fiio had successfully warmed up the crowd for the night ahead.
Good Neighbours
At 9 p.m., Scott, Oli, and their band took the stage, launching immediately into “Suburbs.” The energy of the London-based duo instantly captivated the audience, who jumped, danced, and sang along from the very beginning. Throughout the show, they moved around the stage, interacted with fans, and consistently heightened the excitement. Their approachable demeanor and playful interactions transformed the performance into more than just a musical experience—it was a true show. It was clear the band was enjoying every moment on stage, and they readily shared that joy with the crowd at the Flex.
The hits “Keep It Up” and, of course, “Home” received the loudest cheers of the night. During “Home,” the entire audience sang along, creating a communal atmosphere. Despite an initial rush to ensure they didn’t miss the show, the evening quickly evolved into a celebration of positive energy and unforgettable moments. After a roughly hour-long set, the regular setlist concluded, but the calls for an encore were immediate. Scott and Oli initially seemed surprised by the request in a different language, but quickly obliged, perfectly capping off the performance. It was an evening filled with good vibes and great music, and it will be exciting to observe where their career takes them next.
