GORONTALO, Kominfotik – The Gorontalo provincial government will be providing holiday bonuses to its civil servants, including contract workers, ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The move, announced Thursday, March 12, 2026, by Governor Gusnar Ismail, aims to support government employees as they prepare for the upcoming religious holiday.

According to Sukril Gobel, head of the Gorontalo Provincial Financial Agency, the bonus payments will be processed following the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) Number 9 of 2026, which covers state officials, permanent civil servants, probationary civil servants, and full-time contract workers.

“PP Number 9 of 2026 does not include provisions for part-time contract workers,” Gobel explained. “However, based on a decision by Governor Ismail, part-time contract workers within the provincial government will also receive the bonus.”

The amount of the bonus for part-time contract workers is currently being evaluated, but Governor Ismail has already approved the policy. The decision underscores the administration’s commitment to supporting all its employees.

“Following the Governor’s instructions, we will strive to disburse the bonuses before the Eid al-Fitr holiday and collective leave period. The latest, the payments will be made tomorrow,” Gobel stated.

In addition to the holiday bonuses, the Gorontalo provincial government will also be paying performance allowances for January and February 2026, as well as a bonus tied to those allowances. The total amount allocated for holiday bonuses is approximately 24.250 billion rupiah for permanent civil servants and 4.995 billion rupiah for full-time contract workers. Performance allowance payments will be based on amounts paid in December 2025.
