Hong Kong and Macau’s Michelin Guide for 2026 has revealed its list of award-winning restaurants, with several establishments earning stars for the first time.

A total of 77 restaurants in Hong Kong have been awarded stars, breaking last year’s record, according to reports.

Among the highlights, a Korean chef has received the Young Chef Award less than a year after arriving in Hong Kong. The chef expressed a desire for diners to experience happiness through their meals, stating, “I hope guests can eat and be happy.”

The prestigious Robuchon restaurant in Hong Kong has been awarded two stars immediately after reopening. Several other restaurants, including Tang Ren Zhai in Central, likewise received their first Michelin star.

a local Chaozhou cuisine restaurant has been recognized with a “Bib Gourmand” designation, a recognition for high-quality, affordable dining. The restaurant owner emphasized a commitment to authenticity, saying, “We just do our part well, bringing the tastes of our hometown to the table.”

The Michelin Guide’s annual release is a significant event in the culinary world, influencing dining trends and attracting international attention to the region’s vibrant food scene. The awards reflect Hong Kong and Macau’s continued status as a global gastronomic hub.
