Honor is signaling a significant shift in its strategy following its return to the Indonesian market, with a renewed focus on artificial intelligence.

The company, which recently relaunched in Indonesia, has already begun introducing new products equipped with cutting-edge technology, demonstrating its long-term commitment to the region.

At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Honor announced it is evolving beyond a smartphone manufacturer to become an AI-driven ecosystem company, connecting smartphones, tablets, wearables, and interconnectivity solutions. This move reflects a broader industry trend of tech companies integrating AI across their entire product portfolios.

“This is a fundamental change in our business strategy,” said Justin Li, President of Honor South Pacific, in a press release on Monday, December 8th.

Li explained that Honor will continue to roll out a range of AI-powered devices designed to seamlessly integrate into everyday life. The company believes that AI features should be both sophisticated and user-friendly.

Several key AI features are already available to Indonesian users, including Magic Portal, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Cutout and AI Outpainting, and AI Translate. These tools aim to enhance user experience and productivity through intelligent functionality.
