Huawei has launched the HUAWEI Mate X7 in Indonesia as part of its latest line of foldable smartphones. The flagship device combines an ultra-thin design with improved durability and advanced photography capabilities, targeting users who require high mobility, such as professionals and businesspeople.

The Mate X7 features an Ultra-Reliable Foldable Architecture, a structure designed to enhance the resilience of foldable devices against impacts. The exterior screen utilizes a layer of Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass intended to increase protection against scratches. Foldable phones represent a growing segment of the smartphone market, pushing the boundaries of mobile device design and functionality.

Huawei has also incorporated a multi-layered internal structure to minimize the risk of damage from impacts or drops. The device’s precision folding mechanism is claimed to be more stable, ensuring comfortable use even with frequent opening and closing throughout the day. When unfolded, the device is approximately 4.5 millimeters thick, offering a large screen in a compact form factor.

The device also boasts IP58 and IP59 certifications, indicating water resistance up to a depth of two meters and protection against high-pressure water jets. Huawei also introduced wet touch support, which allows the screen to remain responsive when exposed to water droplets or used with wet hands.

On the camera front, the Mate X7 presents a True-to-Colour Camera 2.0 system designed to produce more accurate colors. 17.5EV Ultra Lighting HDR technology helps capture detail in both bright and shadowed areas, ensuring photos remain clear in high-contrast lighting conditions.

Huawei has also included a 50MP Telephoto Macro camera, enabling long-distance photography with sharp detail.

To support daily use, the Mate X7 is equipped with a 5600mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. A Supercool Ultra-Large VC cooling system is also incorporated to help maintain stable device temperatures during various activities, including multitasking.

The device also features an 8-inch main display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz for a smoother navigation experience.

Huawei began sales of the Mate X7 in Indonesia on March 5, 2026, and will continue through April 4, 2026. Further information about the device can be found on the official Huawei website at https://consumer.huawei.com/id/phones/mate-x7/.
