Zsolt Varga’s squad previously fell 14-13 to Croatia, the Olympic silver medalists, in Szeged last week, and then suffered a 15-14 defeat against Italy at the Komjádi Swimming Pool in Budapest. In the continuation of their preparation in the Netherlands, the quarters finished 4-2, 2-3, 3-5, and 0-2, with the home team failing to score in the final period.
Hungary will face Turkey on Sunday at 6:00 PM and Croatia on Monday at 6:00 PM in the Rotterdam training tournament.
