Turkish actor İbrahim Yıldız has died at the age of 27 after a nearly six-week battle following an accident, according to multiple reports.
Yıldız was injured on October 2, 2025, when a tree fell on him in the Kartal district of Istanbul. He had been in a coma and on life support ever since, Onedio reported. News of his death emerged on Monday, March 2, 2026.
The actor was known for his roles in popular Turkish television series including Duy Beni (Hear Me), Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem (Magnificent Century Kösem), and Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs’ta (Once Upon a Time in Cyprus), Milliyet confirmed.
Following the accident, Yıldız faced criticism online with some alleging a lack of support from his fellow actors. However, his sister recently spoke out to defend her brother’s colleagues, stating that they had been supportive throughout his ordeal, Onedio reported. Alina Boz, a close friend of Yıldız, shared a heartfelt message following his passing, Milliyet noted. She wrote, “We will miss your smile.”
