The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) says it has readied essential public services to accommodate the relocation of civil servants (ASN). Those core services include health care, education, social security and the freedom to practice religion.
Public‑communication officer Troy Pantouw emphasized that these basic services are a constitutional right that the government must provide for all citizens, including civil servants and their families moving to the new capital.
“Pelayanan dasar menjadi kunci agar ASN dapat pindah dan bekerja dengan tenang di IKN,” ujar Troy dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Senin (09/02/2026).

Guided by the 1945 Constitution, OIKN is focusing on delivering these services within the Government Core Zone (KIPP). According to Suwito, director of basic services, four hospitals have been built, three of which are already operational.
The operational facilities include Hermina Nusantara Hospital, Mayapada Nusantara Hospital and the Ministry of Health’s Nusantara University Hospital.
“Ketersediaan tempat tidur di IKN sudah mencapai dua hingga tiga tempat tidur per 1.000 penduduk, melampaui standar nasional minimal satu tempat tidur per 1.000 penduduk,” jelasnya.
OIKN is also promoting preventive measures against diseases such as dengue fever, using environmental control, stocking ponds with fish that eat mosquito larvae and community education.
Suwito said the authority runs a bi‑annual Free Health Check (CKG) program to map employees’ health status so that early prevention can be addressed.
“Hasil CKG menunjukkan lebih dari 30 persen pegawai usia di bawah 30 tahun mengalami hiperglikemia, disertai peningkatan kolesterol dan tekanan darah. Ini menjadi perhatian serius agar ASN menerapkan pola hidup sehat,” jelasnya.
In education, OIKN has prepared an integrated school system in KIPP covering preschool through high school, slated to open for the upcoming academic year.
Upcoming institutions include the Nusantara Cadet School, Garuda School, an integrated school run by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and four international schools: Nusantara Intercultural School (NIS), Australian Independent School Nusantara (AIS), Al‑Azhar Summarecon Nusantara Islamic School and Bina Bangsa Nusantara School.
The authority is also providing quality‑assurance support to 43 existing schools in the KIPP area as part of building an education ecosystem. “Bidang pendidikan di IKN sudah mulai siap untuk mendukung perpindahan Ibu Kota Nusantara,” jelasnya.
For social security, BPJS health services are available at Hermina Nusantara Hospital and Mayapada Nusantara Hospital, while BPJS employment benefits for work‑related injury and illness are accessible throughout KIPP.
OIKN plans to launch the National Mosque of the New Capital during Ramadan 1447 Hijri (2026 Gregorian). It has also coordinated worship services at 12 mosques and 37 prayer rooms within KIPP.
“Masjid Negara IKN kami siapkan sebagai pusat kegiatan ibadah dan kebersamaan. Kami mengajak seluruh Sahabat Insan Otorita IKN untuk memeriahkan Ramadan di Masjid Negara IKN, yang juga akan dilengkapi dengan bazar Ramadan dan takjil berbuka puasa,” pungkasnya.
