As of Friday, March 20th, the Ryan Adriandhy-directed film was still playing in South Korean cinemas, marking 30 days since its initial premiere. However, the number of screenings and viewers has decreased considerably.
On March 20th, Jumbo was shown on four screens and attracted just four ticket sales, equivalent to approximately $20 USD.
This data confirms that Jumbo’s performance in South Korea has significantly slowed.
Despite the recent decline, the Indonesian animated feature initially surprised audiences upon its debut in the South Korean box office, landing at number six and seven on the daily charts.
While fierce competition briefly pushed the film down to the teens, Jumbo managed to climb back into the top 10.
The film achieved its biggest success in the monthly box office rankings, securing the 15th spot in South Korea with a total of 49,753 tickets sold in February 2026.
This placed Jumbo just below the global animated blockbuster, Zootopia 2, for that month.
As of Saturday, March 21st, Jumbo currently ranks as the 33rd highest-grossing film of the year, trailing behind Hamnet (58,084 tickets) and Even If This Love Disappears from the Word Tonight (54,687).
Back in Indonesia, Jumbo has cemented its position as the second-highest-grossing domestic film of all time, with a remarkable 10,233,002 tickets sold. It falls just behind Agak Laen: Menyala Pantiku!, which has sold 10,959,123 tickets.
Jumbo tells the story of Don, a young boy on a quest to revive his parents’ treasured storybook.
Joined by his grandmother, Oma, and loyal friends Nurman and Mae, Don embarks on a magical adventure after meeting Meri, a girl from another world searching for her parents.
