The Abraham Lincoln reportedly carries some of the most advanced fifth-generation stealth fighter jets, the F-35. The carrier is accompanied by warships equipped with long-range Tomahawk missiles, as well as a nuclear submarine.

The aircraft carrier was last sighted on February 15, near the coast of Oman. The Abraham Lincoln is a massive vessel, measuring 325 meters in length and weighing over 100,000 tons when fully loaded.

The U.S. Military has not yet responded to the claims made by Tehran. The lack of immediate comment from Washington adds to the uncertainty surrounding the reported attack.
