Iran Claims Capture of US Soldiers – Details Emerge

Iran’s top security official claimed Saturday that several U.S. Soldiers have been captured, amid heightened tensions in the region. The announcement comes as international concerns grow over escalating conflict and potential miscalculations.

Ali Larijani, head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, did not specify how many soldiers were taken into custody or provide details surrounding their capture. The claim was initially reported by Al Jazeera.

Larijani took to social media to allege that reports of U.S. Military deaths are being deliberately misrepresented. “Several American soldiers have been taken prisoner. However, they are spreading a misleading narrative claiming that five or six American soldiers have died,” he wrote.

He further asserted that the number of reported deaths would likely increase over time, attributing any rise in figures to fabricated explanations such as accidents or invented incidents. “Then, over time, they gradually increase the number of deaths, with various pretexts, such as accidents or invented incidents,” Larijani added.
