TEHRAN, March 25 (Reuters) – Iran’s military spokesperson stated on Monday, March 25, that the United States is “negotiating with itself,” according to reports from Iranian state media.

The statement follows comments made on Sunday by former President Trump, who indicated progress in negotiations toward ending a conflict and suggested a 15-point plan had been communicated to Iran.

Responding to the U.S., the spokesperson for Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff questioned, “Have your internal conflicts reached a stage where you are negotiating with yourselves?” and firmly added, “We will never compromise with you.”

The official also asserted that regional stability will not be achieved unless the U.S. Acknowledges the role of Iran’s military, adding that U.S. Investment and pre-conflict energy prices will not return without such recognition. This commentary arrives as geopolitical tensions remain elevated in the region, impacting investor sentiment.
