Israel:
Israel Accuses Iran of Using Cluster Munitions in Recent Rocket Attacks.
One person was killed, and two others were seriously wounded following renewed attacks on Israel, according to reports.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross, stated on X that its teams responded to multiple locations to assist injured individuals.
Dagbladet journalist Morten Risberg, reporting from central Tel Aviv, said alarms began sounding Monday morning.
– Shortly after the alarms went off, we began to hear booms in the sky. There was continuous explosions for over a minute, he said by phone.
The numerous explosions were likely caused by air defenses attempting to intercept a missile. Risberg believes it is probable the missile contained cluster munitions, as they have been used in several attacks recently.
Iran Accused Again
On Monday afternoon, the Israeli military accused Iran of again using cluster munitions in its rocket attacks against Israel.
The spokesperson making the accusation did not specify which area of Israel was allegedly targeted by the cluster bombs.
Iran has previously confirmed the apply of cluster munitions, both during this conflict and in last year’s war with Israel. Cluster weapons typically consist of a rocket with multiple submunitions or explosive charges.
The use of cluster munitions is internationally condemned because they indiscriminately cover large areas with explosives, posing a particular danger to civilians. Both Iran and Israel are among the countries that produce cluster weapons.
“More Relaxed”
Dagbladet’s journalist, who sought shelter in a bomb shelter himself, reports a shift in the mood among the population of Tel Aviv in recent days.
– People are a little more relaxed when the alarms go off, and are delaying going to the bomb shelters, he said.
A man Risberg has met in the shelter several times has told him he twice chose not to leave his bed to seek shelter.
Risberg says this could be a worrying development.
Many of those killed so far have been hit by shrapnel and debris from intercepted missiles. Being in the open makes one more vulnerable, he explained.
According to Al Jazeera, 11 people have been killed in Israel so far in the conflict.
Further Attacks in the Region
Several explosions were heard overnight in Doha, Qatar, according to journalists from AFP in the city. Qatar’s defense ministry stated it had intercepted a missile attack.

In Abu Dhabi, authorities reported two people were injured by falling debris after an intercepted attack. The individuals were in different locations, according to Al Jazeera.
Israel stated it has attacked several locations in Iran, including in the capital, Tehran, and Isfahan. Israel has also attacked Hezbollah areas in Beirut, Lebanon.
