Simultaneous reports emerged Sunday afternoon of significant explosions in Iran, with state-run Iranian media reporting the events, according to Reuters. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated they had initiated “extensive” attacks against regime targets in Tehran and other locations, The Times of Israel reported.
Iran’s Red Crescent Society has reported over 1,300 fatalities within the country to date. A similar figure was provided by the country’s ambassador to the United Nations. The reported casualties in Iran underscore the intensifying nature of the conflict and its growing human cost.
