The Israeli military has issued a warning to residents in areas of Iran, urging them to evacuate “for your safety and well-being,” according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, accompanied by a map. The message comes as the conflict in the Middle East enters its sixth day.
However, concerns are rising that those intended to receive the warning may be unable to read it, as internet access has been disrupted in Iran for the past two weeks amid the ongoing military actions by the United States and Israel. The disruption to communications underscores the challenges of disseminating critical information during the conflict.
Earlier this week, the Israeli military revealed what it called a “Thursday target bank” in Iran, stating that it had targeted more than 200 objectives in western and central Iran on Thursday, March 13, 2026. According to reports, dozens of Israeli fighter jets carried out 20 waves of strikes, guided by military intelligence. These strikes reportedly included ballistic missile launch platforms, air defense systems and weapons production sites.
The Israeli military stated that since the start of “Operation Lion Roar,” its air force has conducted hundreds of bombing raids targeting Iranian military infrastructure, with the stated goal of reducing rocket launches toward Israeli territory. The development underscores growing regional tensions and the escalating nature of the conflict.
Separately, Israel has announced the start of a “modern phase” of military operations in Iran, according to France24. Reports indicate Israeli forces are targeting elements of the Basij militia and Iranian drones, even as Tehran continues its rocket attacks. The Israeli military claims to have destroyed over 250 Iranian drones and dozens of launch platforms, while the United States reports striking 6,000 targets since the start of the conflict.
