Traffic on the Jagorawi Toll Road heading towards Jakarta is severely congested due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall. The disruption is impacting a major artery for commuters entering the capital city.

As of Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 5:45 PM local time, flooding was reported around kilometer marker 12 of the Jagorawi Toll Road, near Cibubur. The left and center lanes are currently underwater.

Vehicles are unable to travel in the flooded lanes, leaving only the right lane open to traffic. This constriction is causing significant delays for motorists.

The congestion extends back from Sentul Utara KM 32 to Citereup KM 30, according to reports. Further backups are occurring from Citereup to Gunung Putri, and again from KM 18 Cimanggis to KM 12 Cibubur.

Jasa Marga, the toll road operator, had previously reported increased traffic density and the presence of standing water at KM 12.

Jasa Marga stated the congestion is due to a combination of increased traffic volume and the standing water. Motorists are advised to exercise caution.

“There is water management in lanes 1-2-outer/left-middle shoulder, be careful in Cibubur KM 12+000 towards Cawang, there is water management in lanes 1-2-outer/left-middle shoulder,” Jasa Marga reported.
